1B pupils were completely captivated by this sensory science activity, exploring frozen Vimto cubes and discovering what happened when they added baking soda and then ‘squeezed’ vinegar through pipettes to make everything ‘fizz’ and slowly start ‘melting’. The children stayed highly engaged, taking turns with the pipettes, watching the reactions closely, and sharing their excitement with one another. This hands‑on experience supported their fine motor skills through careful squeezing, encouraged turn‑taking, and strengthened their visual tracking as they followed the bubbling, colourful changes happening right in front of them.
